Mann mit großem Schwert am Essener Hauptbahnhof aufgefallen

Am Dienstagnachmittag (18.6.) ist ein 26-Jähriger Mann am Essener Hauptbahnhof mit einem großen Schwert aufgefallen. Sicherheitsmitarbeiter der Bahn haben den Mann zur Bundespolizei gebracht, die das Schwert beschlagnahmte.

Der Mann aus Soest hat die Waffe ohne Widerstand abgegeben. Das Schwert sei ungeschliffen, aber dennoch eine gefährliche Hieb- und Stoßwaffe, sagte eine Sprecherin der Behörde am Mittwoch.

Wieso der Mann die Waffe dabeihatte, konnte die Sprecherin nicht erklären. Der Mann habe sich dazu nicht geäußert.

Verbot von gefährlichen Gegenständen an Bahnhöfen in NRW

Während der Fußball-EM ist an den Bahnhöfen Dortmund, Köln, Düsseldorf, Gelsenkirchen und Essen das Mitführen von gefährlichen Gegenständen verboten. Dazu zählen neben Feuerwaffen, Äxten und Schlagstöcken auch Messer mit einer Klingenlänge von mehr als vier Zentimetern.

Die Behörden appellieren an die Reisenden, sich an diese Regelung zu halten, um die Sicherheit aller Fahrgäste zu gewährleisten.
